FontAwesomeBot is our web crawler that scans the web to gather usage statistics about web technologies.
Data We Collect with FontAwesomeBot
Section titled “Data We Collect with FontAwesomeBot”FontAwesomeBot collects tech trends and stores anonymized data about your site only. We do not collect data about you personally or your users.
For example, it looks for common signs of WordPress on web sites that load Font Awesome from our CDN. WordPress pages often include “wp-content” or “wp-includes” in their HTML source code. The FontAwesomeBot helps us understand how many WordPress sites are using Font Awesome so we can improve our WordPress support.
This crawler does not violate GDPR or any other known privacy legislation of which we are aware.
Disallowing FontAwesomeBot On Your Site
Section titled “Disallowing FontAwesomeBot On Your Site”FontAwesomeBot respects the robots.txt file on your server. If you want to prevent FontAwesomeBot from accessing your site, you can add the following lines to your robots.txt file:
